Applewood Program

Applewood, the Charles Stewart and Ruth Rawlings Mott Estate is a 34 acre family home surrounded by stately trees, lush lawns, and flower-filled gardens. Built in 1916 as a self-sufficient gentleman's farm for General Motor's Vice President C.S. Mott, the estate is a beautiful jewel and a community resource in the city of Flint.

Whether your interest is a historic estate built in 1916, community dialogue, twenty-five heritage varieties of apples, over one hundred different perennials, or you just want to see thousands of flowers in bloom, our programming ensures something of interest for nearly all who visit the estate. Because it is difficult to decide which time of the year the grounds are the most spectacular we offer grand visual displays throughout the spring, summer, and fall.
